The SRC Spotlight
"Changing the world begins with a single act of kindness. Let's give with love, serve with humility, and inspire others to join us on the journey of making a difference."
The SRC elections resulted in the appointment of Yulha as Head Girl Pansir as Head Boy. Deputy Head Boy was Yoshitaro and Deputy Head Girl was Jooha. Meetings have already been taking place on Tuesdays and Thursdays and the team has allocated roles and responsibilities for finance and marketing activities. Following the philosophy of 'Start at the end’ plans have already been started on preparing for Next Years Prom. The SRC has also already contributed to Assembly Activities.

Poetry Time with Year 7
During this Assembly students from year 7 delivered two very exceptional poem recitals. The year 7 class have been studying 'Jim, the boy who ran away’, one of the cautionary tales, as part of their Tall Tales lessons. Soviseth and Cameron from 7A and 7B gave very well delivered recitals which exhibited great enthusiasm, confidence and expression.

The MUN ECA Students’ Stepping Stone
Members of the Model United Nations ECA gave a presentation on their proposed trip to the MUN Conference, venue ISPP, at the end of October. MUN is an academic simulation of the United Nations where students play the role of delegates from different countries and attempt to solve real world issues with the policies and perspectives of their assigned country. It is a great opportunity for students to mix with other schools and develop their debating skills. We are looking forward to seeing how the students perform and for further updates on their progress.

Reminder of the School Rules
The SRC also delivered a short presentation reminding students of the need to comply with school rules, in this case School Uniform. The students enjoyed dressing inappropriately, wearing make-up, especially the boys! And wearing jewelry to demonstrate what not to wear in school.
Students were also reminded by Dr. Chris of other school rules, particularly mobile phone use. Generally, student behaviour has been excellent, with very few problems so far. Emphasising the rules will help to keep it this way and so promote a positive learning environment in the school.
