            Parents Meet & Greet: Friday, August 30, 2024, starting at 5:00 PM.

            Dear Parents/guardians,

             

            We are delighted to invite you to our upcoming Meet & Greet event, which will be held on Friday, 30th August 2024, at 5:00 PM at the High School Campus. 

             

            This event is a wonderful opportunity for you to meet our dedicated staff, hear from our principal, senior leadership team and connect with other parents. The program will include opening and welcoming addresses by our principal, speeches by our Senior Leadership Team, and closing remarks by our Vice Principal. Following the formal program, we invite you to join us for refreshments. 

             

            In addition, please be informed that all classes will finish at 3:00 PM on Friday, 30th August 2024. Please ensure that your pickup time is adjusted accordingly.

            This is excellent news!

            We extend our heartfelt congratulations to the ISSR students for their exemplary performance in the Cambridge International Education IGCSE & AS/A Levels examinations. Their diligence and commitment have yielded remarkable results.

            We also wish to acknowledge the invaluable support and guidance provided by the teachers and parents. This collective effort has significantly contributed to the students’ success. Let us celebrate this outstanding achievement together.

          • The SRC Candidates' Campaigns

            It’s that exciting time of the year when our young leaders step into the spotlight – the SRC Campaigns! This year, our candidates are shining brightly, from junior to senior students.

            Campaign Highlights: On Friday morning’s assembly was a testament to the enthusiasm and dedication of our students. Fifteen candidates took to the stage, each delivering compelling speeches to win the votes of their peers. Their commitment to making our school a better and more enjoyable place was evident, and each candidate brought unique promises to the table.

            Year 7 Rising Stars:

            • Ellin (7B): Strong sense of collaboration.
            • Raneath (7A): Skilled in communication.
            • Dara (7B): Full of creative ideas.
            • Beato (7B): Committed to making the school feel like a second home.

            Year 9:

            • Woo Young: Symbolises possibility.

            Year 10:

            • Monineath: A voice for the voiceless.
            • Pattar: Inspires others to believe in and chase their dreams.

            Year 11:

            • Bori (11B): Ears and solutions to all complaints.
            • Yichinh (11A): Hardworking leader and event planner.
            • David (11A): Approachable and open-minded leader.
            • Jiseung (11A): Role model of responsibility.

            Year 12:

            • Yuha & Jooha: Focused on students’ health and maintaining school facilities.
            • Yoshitaro: Boosts fun events.
            • Pansir: Acts as a bridge between students and leaders.

            The campaigns concluded with a sense of excitement and admiration for our next generation of SRC candidates. The election is just around the corner – next Wednesday. We wish all our candidates the best of luck and look forward to seeing the elected SRC take on their leadership roles.

            The Meet and Greet originally scheduled for 16 August has been postponed to 30 August 2024.

            In addition, we would like to inform you that this event is hosted for High School parents only. The programme starts at 5:00 PM. Furthermore, please be informed that all classes will finish at 3:00 PM on Friday, 30 August 2024. Please ensure that your pickup time is adjusted accordingly.

            Letter to parents/guardian #005

             

            Dear Parents/Guardians,

            To ensure your child(ren) can access the school’s academic management system, EduPage, they are required to bring electronic devices to school starting from the date of this notice. This will enable students to receive their school timetable, homework, progress reports, and school announcements.

            Please note that this requirement will be carefully managed in accordance with the school policy on “Phones and Electronic Devices” as stated in the *Parent Handbook. Students will use their devices only for academic purposes, including research, group projects, and submitting homework for review. Parents/guardians will receive an **email from the school system regarding login information.

            Welcome to the Academic Year 2024-2025! 

             

            Issued: 13th August 2024

            We are thrilled to welcome you all to the new academic year at ISSR Secondary Campus. Our students, teachers, and staff are excited to reunite and embark on this new chapter together. 

            During our recent assembly, Dr. Chris, our new Vice Principal, introduced and welcomed our new teachers: 

            • Mr. Greg, Maths Teacher 
            • Ms. Kaveru, Business and GP Teacher 
            • Mr. Frederick, ICT Teacher 
            • Ms. Kaetlyn, Swimming Teacher 

            Dr. Chris also outlined the aims and expectations for the year, emphasising the importance of adhering to school policies on phone and device usage, as well as student attendance, which significantly impacts academic performance. 

            We are pleased to announce improvements in our academic communication through the EduPage system. This platform allows students to receive homework, check grades, and view progress reports. It also enables parents to monitor their children’s academic progress. Parents can find the parent handbook, school academic calendar, and newsletter updates on EduPage. For login assistance, please contact our admin team. 

            Mr. Dale from the Senior Leadership Team announced the upcoming Election Day for the School Representative Council (SRC) roles. We look forward to seeing the campaigns and leadership initiatives from our students. 

            Lastly, our Exams Officer, Ms. Annvinn, praised the achievements of our students in the previous year’s Checkpoint exams. She also announced that the IGCSE and AS/A Levels results will be released today and wished our senior classes the best of luck.
